Aren't children just the best at saying it like it is! My youngest grandson is like an old, old soul. The other day when they were visiting, a local dog grabbed one of the chooks and she died in my hands while they watched. The five year old stroked his bigger brother's arm and told him not to worry because, "It will just be like when Mum and Dad die, it will just stop breathing. It's Ok.' Now where did that come from! After the chicken died he stroked its feathers. I suggested we could eat it, but they wanted to bury it. The little one made sure we weren't to be misled...'Now, you know, Grandma, that it won't be coming back again, don't you?'
