We've sold the house.
Today is the last of the 'cooling off' days for the buyer, so if all goes well (touch wood!) we're sold and out of here. We got a good price, which is pleasing. The only thing I'm sad about is that we have sold it to an investor - so anyone's guess what will happen to my beautiful garden. The new owner may concrete over everything. Or worse. (Is there worse?)
I'm going to try not to look backwards, and instead focus on the busy time ahead and the good things that may come. Now come my challenges I have set before me: finding a new home, building community, growing a food forest, learning self-reliance in a way that I never have before.
As Bob The Builder would say, "Can we do it? Yes, we can!"

Sorry to hear you are probably going to loose the garden but Congratulations on the sale.
Suspect once you get to the other end you will be so busy you won't have time to worry about all the coulda's.
Kind Regards
Belinda
How to tell you're a mom of young ones: Your inspirational quotes that once sprang from the likes of Nietszche and Shakespeare now come from the likes of Elmo and Bob the Builder.
Good Luck!
Congratulations! Exciting times ahead for all of you :)
And you never know, your garden could inspire someone else to live closer to the Earth as well...
Congratulations :-) Very Exciting Times ahead!
Congratulations!
Looking forward to hearing about your new adventures.
Belinda - When we sel a house we can never be sure the person who buys will care for the home or garden. And just because it will be renters doesn't mean it will fall to pieces. So I will *HOPE*.
:-)
Hi Burbanmom - *laughs* Bob the Builder is a very wise man - I get a lot of my best quotes from him!
Theresa - I really hope so. But I cannot change what will happen, so instead of worrying, I will try to look to my own future, instead of someone else's.
That would be the wise thing to do, wouldn't it?
;-)
Crazy Mumma - Thanks! It will be challenging and interesting...
Chile - Me too! Now all I have to is write them down, finish a novel, buy a house...
*sigh*
